Get Ready for Back to School with the Michigan Learning Channel!
Join us on August 18 from 10am-2:30pm for a free participant-driven conference available to any teacher in the State of Michigan to maximize your professional learning experiences and build peer networks.
We will focus on content available on the Michigan Learning Channel, how educators are able to use it in their classroom, and what they find resourceful. Teachers will be asked to decide what topics they think are important to discuss among a group of supportive, knowledgeable peers. This program is made for educators in PreK-3rd grade.
- Know how to access learning resources to engage families in active learning at home with young children, whether or not they have home internet access.
- Understand how to use the Michigan Learning Channel’s website to find high-quality digital resources for use in your classroom, whether in-person or virtually.
- Make connections with MLC shows Math Mights and Read, Write, Roar!
- Use acquired skills in education by meeting Michigan’s Education State Standards, identifying the EIP’s in Math Mights, and demonstrating best teaching practices and Michigan’s highly regarded literacy essentials with Read, Write, Roar!, and in classroom instruction
