Box Lid Mazes with ENGINEERING | KidVision Full STEAM Ahead

Miss Penny and KidVision kids explore Engineering through box lid mazes! These fun tutorials detail “how to” execute the STEAM activity, step by step, as well as the lesson behind it. 

The “Box Lid Mazes” Engineering activity allows children to practice the following Florida’s Early Learning and Developmental Standards for 4-year-olds (2017):

• Engineering & Technology. Children will invent and construct simple objects or more complex structures and investigate concepts of motion and stability of structures.

Materials needed:

• A box with a lid
• Straws (bendy if available)
• Tape (clear if available)
• Pencil
• Marble
• Scissors
• Stickers and/or decorations (optional)
