Careers in the Environmental Sciences | Our Land

There are a wide variety of environmental careers available across New Mexico. This lesson, “Careers in Environmental Science” will help your students explore a variety of environmental careers that might interest them and introduce them to some of the people who have pursued those careers. They will also take a career interest survey and research other jobs that match with their interests.

There are six different careers with corresponding videos that students will learn about and engage with in activities and handouts:

• “Forests Under Siege” features Santa Clara Pueblo Forestry Director Daniel Denipah and Forest Health Specialist and Entomologist John Formby.
• Featured in all four videos is New Mexico PBS Journalist and Executive Producer Laura Paskus.
