Cave Formations: Lewis and Clark Caverns | Parks of Montana

All of the cave formations at Lewis and Clark Caverns are the result of water making its way into the cave and depositing calcite. However, three types of formations may occur, based on how the water is moving when it enters the cave with dripstone, flowstone, and seep stone.
