Texas natives, Gary Clark Jr. and Eve Monsees have been friends ever since childhood sharing their love of music. One of their earliest musical milestones is when they played “Pride and Joy” for their 8th grade talent show (and won first place). Now, years later, these accomplished blues musicians have come together again to perform “Pride and Joy,” this time on a bigger stage. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Austin City Limits, Clark and Monsees are bringing their musical journey full circle, paying tribute to a song that helped shape their musical journey while honoring the legacy of Stevie Ray Vaugan and Austin’s live music scene.
