Coral Reefs | Cyberchase

Corals are animals that live underwater in habitats called reefs. In these videos from the “Coral Grief” episode of Cyberchase, the CyberSquad tours the coral reef in Coralina and learns how warm water is hurting the coral. Coral reefs are important because they are home to many types of animals that can’t live anywhere else on Earth. When the temperature of the water that they live in gets too warm, the colorful algae that live inside the coral disappear, leaving them white or “bleached.” This is not healthy for the coral that need algae to make food.
