Creating Public Art: Love Wins, Hates Loses | createid

In 2021, antisemitic graffiti was painted in a pedestrian tunnel next to the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial. After removing the hateful messages, the City of Boise, community leaders and citizens, and a mural artist were determined to send a message of acceptance and belonging through the creation of the Eighth Street Tunnel Mural. 

Students examine the process of designing a piece of public art and then create their own collaborative mural.
