Creating with the Capitol, Lesson 1: PLACE/SPACE “The Spirit of the Building” is a video art lesson presented by Kathy Stewart, former art teacher at Humann Elementary. This lesson is for students to help compare and provide evidence of personal interpretations of a work of art. The lesson is prepared to demonstrate the creative process in developing solutions to an art problem, choose and explain the best solution, revise the solution based on experiences, and show students they can express themselves creatively through art.
