Denny Yasuhara: Leadership in Service of Community

Denny Yasuhara was a beloved teacher, civil rights activist, and community leader in the Spokane and eastern Washington Japanese American community. In this curriculum, students in Grades 6-12 will explore the values Denny Yasuhara embodied in his lifetime and compare his experience of discrimination to that of WWII survivors.
