Drumming Feelings | Social & Emotional Learning: The Arts for Every Classroom

Percussion and SEL educator Yeshima of the Louisville Leopard Percussionists and DrumSmart LLC walks students from the Leopards through an activity that allows them to express how they feel through creating rhythms. Students practice cooperation by creating a beat together and self-expression by choosing when and how to take solos based on prompts from the educator. Yeshima and the students reflect on what they learned, how they felt, and how to adapt the activity for use in any classroom.
