George Washington Carver’s Legacy

George Washington Carver has a legacy that defies time. Carver died January 5, 1943 at around age 78. Decades after his death, the world still looks to Carver for inspiration. Students continue to report on his life and thousands of people still visit the places that honor him.

This segment from Iowa PBS’s George Washington Carver: An Uncommon Life documentary includes interviews from people who knew or were influenced by him. Interviews took place at Iowa State University, Simpson College and Tuskegee University.
