Golden Apple Moments

KCTS 9 began the venerable Golden Apple Awards in 1992 to honor exceptional teaching and educational innovation in Washington State, and PEMCO has been a dedicated supporter of the program since 1994. Each year, through a rigorous nomination and vetting process we select 7 educators to showcase through KCTS 9 broadcast and social media accounts.

The Golden Apple Moments (GAM) series is intended to recognize inspirational ideas from people who think a little differently, while reimagining the way we teach our young people. GAM explores how our selected honorees challenge the status quo and can be a model for other educators with a focus on excellence and innovation.
