Greening the Grid: How Should America Rethink its Electrical Systems? | Weathered

Climate scientists are clear that human societies need to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050 in order to keep Earth’s climate from reaching critical tipping points. One of the adaptations required to reach this goal is to convert to renewable energy sources, otherwise know as “greening the grid.”

In this video, students will learn about this adaptation strategy from experts and then, through the engagement questions and activities, evaluate the challenges and benefits of transforming the United States’ existing energy infrastructures.
