His Paintings | A Look at Remington

Laura Desmond, curator and educator at the Frederic Remington Museum in Ogdensburg, New York introduces us to prolific artist Frederic Remington. Remington could be considered one of, if not the most, celebrated American artists depicting the Old West. Laura Desmond not only showcases Remington’s visually stunning flatwork pieces, but she also explores Remington’s’ expert use of artistic narrative. By the end of this activity, students will be able to identify the distinguishing characteristics of Remington’s drawings and paintings.
