Apps can be so fun and engaging that it can make it pretty hard to put your device down. Well that’s not an accident. It’s by design, our favorite apps are literally designed to keep us on them as long as possible. Design tricks are the ways tech companies use user interface design features to grab our attention. This can be a number of things such as; infinite scroll, that’s scrolling that never ends, there’s also the sound your phone makes when you get a notification, the heart or thumbs up icon that appear when you like a post, the text bubble that pops up when someone is typing, and many more.
