Including Children with Visual Impairments in Athletics | Move to Include

The purpose of this inclusion video series is to help teachers, parents and coaches include children with visual impairments in afterschool sports, and in physical education. Tips and demonstrations are included for how to teach students the games, rules and needed skills for the game. Accommodations for students participate inclusively are also demonstrated.

Sports in the series include: Beep Baseball, Beep Kickball, Soccer, Volleyball, Wrestling, Track, Cross-Country Running, Tennis, Basketball, and Swimming. A support document with further resources for extending understanding and practice is provided. The video series is provided by Camp Abilities whose mission is to empower children and teens with visual impairments to be physically active and productive members of their schools, towns, cities, and communities, as well as to improve the health and well-being of people with sensory impairments.
