Chief James W. Wilson is the founder of the Jones High Marching Tiger Band, Orlando’s only black high school in 1964, and Del Kieffner is the band director at the newest all white suburban school, Edgewater High. Alumni recount the white band’s invitation to perform at the 1964 World’s Fair.
