Klamath River Basin Ecosystem | Tending Nature

The Klamath River Basin forms environments that result in a variety of ecosystems. Identified as a global center of biodiversity, the habitat created for living and non-living organisms is vital for sustainability. Students will explore ecosystem-associated concepts and vocuabulary within the special habitat of the Klamath River Basin using video clips from the “Restoring the River” episode in the documentary, Tending Nature.

Students will learn about the Klamath River Basin ecosystem, the interaction of living and non-living organisms in the ecosystem and how the impact on one organism—salmon—affects the entire ecosystem(s).
