Making Mosaics with Cynthia Fisher | AHA! A House for Arts

Cynthia Fisher explains how discovering mosaic art inspired her to leave an artistically restrictive career as an illustrator and explore new modes of expression. Fisher demonstrates how she uses the indirect method of attaching tiles to create large-scale mosaic pieces and describes her community projects in Guatemala.

In the related activity, students will work collaboratively to make a large mosaic using cut paper. The video and discussion will take one 45-minute class session. The related art activity may take two or more class sessions depending on the finished size.
