Modern Media | By One Vote: Woman Suffrage in the South

Learn how both anti- and pro-suffragists used illustrations in newspapers and picture postcards to sway public opinion. After watching the video, students will compare and contrast today’s media with the media used during the Women’s Suffrage Movement of the early 20th century. Students will write their own captions and create imagery to illustrate their phrase in either a postcard or meme format.
