Nebraska’s Unicameral | Civics 101

George W. Norris was the one who finally persuaded Nebraska voters to adopt the Unicameral. In 1934, Nebraska voters amended the state constitution. They changed their state legislature from a two-house system to a nonpartisan Unicameral beginning in 1937.
