Meet Brutus, the North American alligator who lives at the Houston Zoo. Learn how alligators and their Latin American relatives, caimans, use the sun to stay warm and why birds might want to nest near an alligator or caiman nest. Students can demonstrate what they learned about alligators and caimans by answering discussion questions and making a habitat diorama.
