The importance of paying attention to what you are reading, and employing reading strategies when something doesn’t make sense, are demonstrated in the 11-minute animated story “Party Moose” from the PBS KIDS series MOLLY OF DENALI. When Molly and her mother need to figure out how to clear the runway of a stubborn moose so they can land their plane, Molly must slow down, reread the informational text she is using, and use pictures to understand new vocabulary.
