Put Country First: Serving Their Country, on the Battlefield and at Home | A Citizen’s Guide to Preserving Democracy

Students will consider the concept of unity and its connection to the functions of the United States government. Using videos, including this episode of A Citizen’s Guide to Preserving Democracy, and pre-designed lesson materials, students explore the impact members of the American public have on public unity. Students conclude by identifying when and how to address issues of disunity in the United States.
