Rehabilitating Cactus: A Hummingbird Survival Story | Hummingbirds of Hollywood

Hummingbirds of Hollywood follows wildlife rehabilitator Terry Masear as she cares for Cactus, a juvenile Anna’s hummingbird with a wing injury. Students explore how animal structure, behavior, and human expertise support survival. In the accompanying support materials, students locate a nearby wildlife rehabilitator and write a letter either asking questions about their work or thanking them for helping vulnerable animals vital to our ecosystems.
