Remembering Benedict Arnold

Analyze Benedict Arnold’s story to better understand the ways in which we remember historical figures and their actions. Media clips examine Arnold’s successes as a skilled tactician and military leader, as well as his infamous treasonous actions that came to light in 1780. Students explore this narrative through discussion questions and an activity, in which they consider how Arnold should be remembered and think about the importance of historical inquiry in learning and preserving history.
