Respect Government Service | A Citizen’s Guide to Preserving Democracy

Students will examine how broadband and internet access impact different communities in the United States to determine what should be considered essential services provided to all people. Using an episode of A Citizen’s Guide to Preserving Democracy, along with federal agency websites and interactive civic activities, students will consider issues surrounding digital equity and the connections between public utilities and prosperity. Students will conclude by deciding what public services are essential to a democracy.
