The Rochester Public Market brings a sense of community and a sense of history, when up to 40,000 people gather weekly to shop and support local businesses. Community members from around the region buy fresh, healthy foods and other products directly from farmers and local food vendors. The market has been operating for over 100 years. When it first opened it was a wholesale market selling from vendor to vendor but not to the public.  In 1913 the market opened to the public. The market continues today to be open year-round to support the community.
