Rules | Together We Can

Our Together We Can friends, Alina, Caleb, and Izzy, help us understand the importance of different types of rules: safety and classroom rules, and rules about kindness and respect. While children are likely to be aware of rules they “have to” follow, they are growing to understand the more general nature of rules that help to make lives safer, kinder, and fairer for all.

Use this video to spark a conversation about the ways that rules are important in our daily lives. Then invite children to use their imaginations and become a rule maker by creating a new rule using the printable activity page titled “I’m a Rule Maker!”
