Stewart Indian School | Outdoor Nevada

From the 5^th season of Vegas PBS’s series Outdoor Nevada join host John Burke as he spends time with a representative from the Nevada Indian Commission to learn about the complex history of The Stewart Indian School and the plans to create a living heritage museum. Learn about the school, its complicated past, and the thousands of American Indian children from western tribes educated at Stewart. The countless stories of hardship, resilience, strength, and triumph are at the core of the current efforts to preserve the campus and the living heritage of Native art, storytelling, and educational activities.
