The Texas Coast: A Critical Environment for Migratory Birds | Chasing the Tide

An estimated 350 North American bird species are long-distance migrants. These organisms annually fly from breeding ranges in Canada and the United States to Central and South America each fall and return north in the spring. Eighty percent of North American migrant birds fly along the coast of Texas.
