Discover the role that New York played in the Underground Railroad. Using video, primary sources, discussion, and research skills students will learn about the role the Bowne-Parsons family of Flushing (in present-day Queens) played in the Underground Railroad, and they will consider the risks and consequences of helping shepherd enslaved people from the South to freedom.
