The Wind River Indian Reservation | Wyoming’s Native Americans

The Wind River Reservation in Wyoming is home to the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho tribes. Through historical treaties, this land was established as the Wind River Indian Reservation. It holds rich natural resources and many sacred, culturally significant sites for both tribes.

In this video, students will explore the importance of cultural preservation and how the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho work to maintain their traditional ways of life. After watching, students will choose a topic related to the reservation’s sacred sites, conduct research, write about their findings, and present them to the class.
