Tiny but Mighty: The Dangers of Ticks | Mountain Lake Journal

The tick population has increased dramatically across the northern parts of New York State and with it comes an increased risk of Lyme disease. Join us as we tag along with researchers from Paul Smith’s College in the Adirondacks, whose work is helping health departments in New York State get a better handle on the risks associated with ticks, as well as developing methods to better control ticks and the spread of Lyme disease. Students will learn about the dangers of ticks, the diseases they can spread, and the steps that they can take to protect themselves.
