Vowel Surgery | Rise and Shine: Literacy Time

2018 Arkansas Teacher of the Year, Randi House, teaches students about short vowel sounds. She uses cards with pictures that need the vowel added to complete the word. She emphasizes the sounds and mouth positions during the sound. This lesson also includes one handout with pictures and words with missing vowels for additional student practice.
