Weaving | Folk Art Expressions

Explore weaving with Mathilde Lind, Director of Programs and Research at Traditional Arts in Upstate New York (TAUNY), as well as a well-traveled fiber artist specializing in spinning and weaving. Weavers work threads and yarns to create fabric materials, such as cloth, carpets, tapestries, baskets, and other house hold textiles. Weaving helps develop eye-hand coordination and concentration, problem-solving skills, and understanding of patterns and sequencing.
