White-Tailed Deer Restoration | Back from the Brink

White-Tailed Deer inhabit most areas of Montana but are especially common in the prairies near river bottoms. When their numbers were near the breaking point in the early 1900s, biologists were able to draw deer from the Thompson Falls region to plant new herds in their natural range.
