“Movement 2: the Moon orbits the Earth and the Earth orbits the Sun – everything is moving. Always” is composed for alto, soprano, and baritone voices; clarinet, horn, violin, viola, cello and piano. This movement explores the interconnected systems of planets that are held together by gravity, and how ancient civilizations used their observation of the moon phases as means to mark the passing of time.
