Post-It Picasso | Kentucky Studies

Letcher County math teacher Tyler Watts makes murals from Post-it Notes. His art, often called pixel art, is similar to mosaic art. Instead of using stone, tile or glass pieces and plaster or mortar, the artist uses Post-it Notes.

Making an image from tiny pieces of material has a long history. Mosaics have been made since ancient Roman times. Today, pixel art uses bright colors and bold lines characteristic of pop art.
