The City of Henderson Bird Preserve | Outdoor Nevada

Students watch a short video from the 4^th season of Vegas PBS’s series Outdoor Nevada and learn about the City of Henderson Bird Preserve and its inhabitants. Students will learn to identify the importance of a sanctuary, determine the role of landscape and resources to migrating birds, evaluate the impact humans can have on the environment, the role that people play in conservation identify types of birds that live or migrate in Southern Nevada and synthesize information from multiple sources and present information on a topic.
