WunderSTEM puts learners in the driver’s seat and allows them to experience the day in the life of a STEM professional. Each episode allows students to experience and connect with amazing careers and the fantastic STEM professionals who transform our communities with their work!

Rebecca Jaramillo is the Director of the Glen Helen Raptor Center in Yellow Springs, OH. She works to train and rehabilitate injured birds in hopes to release them back into the wild. Rebecca provides educational outreach to schools and the community to help them better understand how we can help birds in our ecosystem!

These extrication tools require immense precision. These rescue tools are used by rescue workers all around the world!

Sarah Finch, Ph.D, is an Associate Professor of Biology and Biotechnology atSinclair Community College in Dayton, OH. Sarah graduated from Miami University in Oxford, OH with a degree in Microbiology and a Medical Sociology minor. She received numerous awards for her undergraduate research in genetics there. Sarah continued her education at the University of Georgia where she earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics by studying the protein involved in spinal muscular atrophy, a genetic disease that strikes mostly children.
